☕ In Bach's delightfully witty Coffee Cantata, a young woman is hopelessly devoted to her daily coffee, much to her father's dismay. As he schemes to break her "addiction" and restore proper manners, their spirited battle of wills unfolds with humor, charm, and one unforgettable ode to coffee. Written at a time when coffee drinking by young women was considered scandalous, this playful mini-opera proves that some obsessions never go out of style.
