What First Coast Opera fans are saying...
We so appreciate all of you at FCO. The staging and talent displayed in your productions rival those in Italy and New York. You overcome limitations and your talents and love of opera bring joy to us all. Thank you!
We LOVE being able to see Classical Opera right here in St Augustine! Keep doing what you're doing!
What a wonderful resource you are to our community. We are not “hard core” opera fans but do love the opportunity to partake in some culture and your productions have always been well done!
"Congratulations on an absolutely wonderful production of Carmen! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the performance - the staging, set, chorus, action ———and of course, the beautiful vocal production as well as the acting! Thank you so much!
However, I’m really writing to say that while I loved everything about the show, I was blown away by the sound of the orchestra and your precise and helpful conducting. It is not easy to mold a disparate group of musicians into a cohesive musical ensemble in just a few rehearsals — but they and you were terrific! Not only was the orchestra not in the way - it was supportive and had a beautiful sound.
Thank you so much not only for your leadership of the opera, but for your musicianship and attention to detail! We are all grateful. "
