State Grant Helps Support Our 27th Season

Sponsored in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and the the National Endowment for the Arts, First Coast Opera has been awarded $45,000 in General Program Support funding for our 2026–2027 season.

This marks our first state grant since funding for the program was eliminated in June 2024, making this award especially meaningful to our organization.

The grant helps us continue our mission of bringing a wide range of opera to Northeast Florida – from introducing newcomers and families to the art form, to providing opportunities for professional artists, emerging performers, and serious students.

It also helps us continue strengthening the quality of our productions through artistic growth, professional development, and ongoing improvements behind the scenes.

We’re grateful to the Florida Department of State for investing in arts and culture in our community, and we’re excited to put this support to work in our upcoming season!
